This was our highest turn-out for a meeting in years. We had over 20 men show up for the gathering this morning, and it was wonderful. Larry led our very first “Catholic Short” on St Dismas, and these Shorts should become something the men really look forward to in future meetings. At an inspiration of Dale’s, when it came time to pray over others, we didn’t just bring one guy into the center… we had different men raise their hands requesting prayer, and then other men went to them to pray for them. We had three different men being prayed over at the same time, and it was beautiful to see the Spirit working through the men who got up to offer their prayers for their brothers.

The Corinthians scripture reflection really seemed to resonate with the men, which was particularly powerful since it was only two-verses long. “Be strong”, “stand firm”, “do everything in love”… each of the men seemed to be inspired by a different piece.

Chris gave his testimony today, and it was a heartfelt story of an illness overcome, and the strengthening of his faith that came out of having to go through that illness. These testimonies are becoming a powerful part of our monthly gatherings.
