This morning’s CMF Breakfast centered on the Gospel passage from Luke in which Jesus tells the parable of Lazarus and the rich man. Chuck proclaimed the Scripture and Deacon Al led us in a wide-ranging discussion. Together we reflected on themes of Heaven and Hell, the fate of the unnamed rich man versus righteous Lazarus, and how the story relates to today’s reality of homelessness. The conversation was lively and thoughtful, with many men contributing their insights.
We were blessed with close to 20 men in attendance, including two newcomers, Randy and Mark, who introduced themselves and joined in the discussion. Overall, it was a morning of fellowship, prayer, and meaningful reflection on God’s Word.
